Show What You Know: Checking for Student Understanding Formative Assessment Cards
Looking for a quick way to assess your students' understanding of a new topic? Simply use these "Show What You Know" cards at the end of a lesson to take a quick assessment of your students' understanding of the topic.
This formative assessment tool is a great way for students to review what they have learned. Plus - its a simple way for students to evaluate themselves on their understanding!
HOW IT WORKS:
Provide each student with a set of the "Show What You Know" cards (place each set on a ring for easy storage)
When you're ready to do a quick assessment, have students pull out their card set and flip to the card that corresponds with what you would like to assess them on.
Ask several questions that can be answered using the choices on the card and students will place their finger next to the correct answer on their card.
Make a set for each student. Store all card sets in a basket for easy distributing, or have students store their own set at their desks.
